Optional, not core with baby
What I intentionally removed from the core plan
Nikko, Hitachi Seaside Park and Kawagoe are good, but they add long train days. With a 3-month-old baby, keep them as optional only.
Tempura Makino Namba is in Osaka, so it is out of route for this Tokyo + Karuizawa trip.
Best matcha powder priority
Buy Isuzu if you want smoother umami and lower bitterness. Buy Aoarashi if you want stronger, grassier matcha for latte. Buy Hoshiju or Ogurayama if available and you want a more premium gift.
Halal note
Prioritize Honolu, Naruto Shibuya, Diyafa and halal-labeled wagyu/ramen places. For sushi, unagi, tempura and gyukatsu, check alcohol, mirin, pork stock, and shared oil before ordering.
